Parsley Family
Posted by: Stephen Carlile Date: October 14, 2001 at 17:31:51

I found an Albert Parsley listed in the 1880 Clark, Johnson County, Indiana Federal Census, age 22 (~1858) born in Indiana, with wife Flora age 18 also born in Indiana. Living with them is Author K. Parsley, age 14 (~1866), born in California and listed as "other" on my transcription.

I believe that Albert and Author are related but don't know how they are related. I also believe that Author may be a brother to Mary Parsley, also born in California (~1861) but cannot confirm it. Mary is 20 in 1880 and living in Page County, Iowa with new husband George Carlile.

I would appreciate anyone contacting me who may be able to check out the census records to see if there is any additional info on this family, such as the relationship between Albert and Author, or if you have any information whatsoever on these Parsleys. If Albert and Author are related, they may have a W. H. Parsley in common. W. H. Parsley may be the father of Mary and Author. Thank you very much.
