I'll check in Bartholomew also for a Flannigan connection, but I imagine my John Flannigan was in Pennsylvania by the time period.

Do you recall in what context the RICH surname was mentioned in the old letters? It's in the list of names you gave in your first post, and I know my ancestor in Jennings had been married to a Rich ... although I don't know where she was living at the time (it might have been before she moved to Jennings County).
