We would greatly appreciate any information that you can provide about Thomas Wesley Bishop (1819-1881) who lived in Shelby Co. Kentucky in 1820, Jefferson Co. Indiana in 1830 and 1840, Scott Co. Indiana in 1860, and Macoupin Co. IL in 1880. We also would like information about his wife Caroline Harback (Harbach, Harbaugh), and their children, grandchildren and other descendents.
Thomas Wesley Bishop was born circa 1819 in KY, the son of Thomas Bishop and Sarah Todd. He died 1 Dec. 1881 in Mt. Olive Macoupin Co. IL.
Thomas W. Bishop had a brother Willis Bishop and a half sister (Delilah C. Bishop) from his father’s first marriage to Delilah Tunnelson. His parents moved the family from Shelby Co. Kentucky to Jefferson Co. Indiana prior to 1827.
Thomas W. Bishop married Caroline Harback on 12 Nov. 1840 in Jefferson Co. Indiana. She was born circa 1825 in NY. Thomas and Caroline are living in Scott Co. Indiana in 1860. The couple had at least four children:
a. Charles Thadeus Bishop was born circa 1843 in Indiana. He enlisted as a Private in Co. C 38th Infantry Regiment Indiana on 18 Sep. 1861 in Scott Co. IL.
b. William Thomas Bishop was born circa 1852 in Indiana. He is living with his grandparents in Macoupin Co. IL in 1870.
c. Benjamin F. Bishop was born circa 1855 in Indiana. He is living with his parents in Scott Co. Indiana in 1860.
d. Mary B. Bishop was born circa 1857 in Indiana. She is living with her parents in Scott Co. Indiana in 1860.
Any additional information that you can provide about this family and their ancestors and descendents would be greatly appreciated.
