Mary, I think I can help you. I have Elizabeth Ann Copeland, b. 1824, who married Gamaliel T. Warfield,on March 1, 1851 in Jefferson Co., Indiana. Her parents were James Copeland and Mary "Polly" Phillips. James was first married to Elinor Ann Skeen on January 5, 1821 in Jefferson Co. Before she died about 1823 they had two children, Rebecca and Elinor P. Copeland. Mary was James' second wife. They had seven children--one of them being Elizabeth Ann, b. 1834. (James' father, Samuel, was the 4 great grandfather of my husband.) I have much more on the Copelands--are you interested? Also, it is interesting to note that Elizabeth's half sister (Elinor P. Copeland) married John H. Warfield (1824-1909) on February 20, 1845 in Jefferson Co. Do you have John H. Warfield in your records? They had several children also with the Warfield surname and I have their names.
