Born in Jefferson County, Indiana, August 1, 1828, Margaret, daughter of Robert and Kitensah Kinnear, died at her home in Leon, Iowa, December 23, 1894. In 1856 she came to Leon to visit her sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Burns. After a stay of one year she was married to William P. Stone, who died June, 1863. To them were born three children, Mary H. who died in infancy, Kitensah the say and comfort of her mother's life, lived to the age of nineteen and was called home. Robert Clark, who lives in West Superior, Wisconsin, was unable to be with his mother on account of sickness in his family.

Deceased lived a widow twenty-one years, then married Frances Smith in 1883. She helped to organize the First Presbyterian Church in Leon and remained a member of that body until her first marrige, when she and her husband united with the M.E. Church where she has lived a consistent and useful member. She was also a member of the Relief Corps in which she was much interested and served as chaplain for two years. Aunt Maggie Smith will be sadly missed by everyone. She was everbody's Aunt "Mag". No one was ever more ready to do a kind act than she, always willing to lend a helping hand in sickness and distress.

Uncle Frankie Smith, her present husband, is quite old and feeble. We all have great sympathy for him in this his hour of affliction.
