Looking for information regarding Reuben Campbell who lived in Jay County during or about 1850.

When Reuben Campbell married Margaret Ann, he had 6 children from an earlier marriage and Margaret Ann had 4 children from a prior marriage. She was first married to Thomas Taggert Wheat on 30 Oct 1835 in Addison, Steuben County, New York. Mr. Wheat died 4 Mar 1849.

Campbell,Mrs Margaret A. (Jones)--died 28 March 1903 in Union Twp. at the home of her son, Levi M. Campbell, aged 83. She was born at Painted Post, Steuben Co., N.Y., 29 NOV 1819. She the oldest daughter of Robert L.H. & Jane Crawford Jones. She married Thomas

"After the death of Thomas Taggart Wheat, March 4, 1849, Margaret Ann Jones
Wheat married for her second husband, Ruben Campbell, of Hector, Noble
Township, Jay County, Indiana, May 6, 1851. Ruben Campbell, with his family,
moved in 1856, to Fillmore County, Minnesota; in 1859 to Henry County, Iowa.
She moved in 1874 to Worth County, Missouri, where she died March 30, 1903 at
the home of her daughter.

"Margaret Ann Jones Wheat and Ruben Campbell were the parents of five
children: Isaiah Campbell. William Campbell. Levi M. Campbell (deceased).
Ruben W. Campbell. Maggie Campbell Norris.
"Ruben Campbell died April 30, 1866.

!Jay County, Indiana - 1982; p.65; Lists Thomas Wheat as one of the founders
of the "Bellefountain Class ... about 1841 at Bellefountain, near the center of
Noble Township, Jay County, by Rev. Frederick B. Hendrix, pastor of Wabash
Circuit, Miami Conference. It is the Oldest United Brethren Church in Jay
County.
"Charter members were Jonas Hartzall Sr., Mary Hartzell, William Hartzell,
Lucinda Hartzell, Wilbur Morehous, Susan A. Morehous, Thomas Wheat, Samuel
Huey, Rachel Huey, Reuben Campbell, Mary Campbell, Thomas Campbell, Jacob Jones, Sarah Jones, Jordan Denney, Nancy Denney, Garrett S. Gubbons, William
Valentine, Hilda Valentine, Jonas Harter, Jane Harter, Joseph Gillett and Mary
Gillett." Susan A. Morehous was a daughter of Mary ("Polly") Patterson,
sister to Thomas Wheat's wife Hannah. Joseph Gillett was the brother of Lucy
Hunt Gillett Wheat, Benjamin Patterson Wheat's wife.
