I should explain: The Naugles can be found under many different spellings. Jacob J. Naugle can be found spelled Nagle, Naugel, and some changed their name to Nail. Even brothers from this family can have different spellings to this name. On the Jackson County 1840 census he is listed as Jacob J. Nagle. I was able to go to Washington County, IN last week. At their museum, they had to census for Jackson County on microfilm. Thank you for your help.
