I am looking for information regarding the Mason family. My Great Grandmother Nellie Miriam Mason was born October 12, 1888 in Natick, Massachusetts. Her father abadoned her mother. Her mother was forced to put eight of her nine children up for adoption. She kept the oldest Ralph. I am unsure why the children were brought to Huntington to be adopted. They were all adopted by different families. They were adopted out by the United Methodist Church in Huntington,Indiana. My Great Grandmother was adopted by the Van Kamp family. Her adopted father's occupation was a wall paper hanger. Nellie Miriam (Mason) Van Kamp married Franklin Edward King. They had a large family together. Franklin divorced her and left her to raise their children. Nellie later remarried George Gracey. Nellie died December 4, 1973 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I would truly appreciate any help on this family. I have been searching for information on this family for four years and haven't had much luck.
