My great-grandfather Scott COLE (1847-1931) was justice of the peace and postmaster of the City of Huntington in the 1890s. His father Fred COLE was postmaster of Andrews. Scott's mother was Martha DALE. Scott was born in Shelby Co. His wife (my great-grandmother) Lida JAMES (1868-1940) was born in Andrews and died in Huntington. Her parents were Dr. Martin JAMES and Mariah GITCHELL.
