I am looking for any information on the WARDs and HURLEYs of Huntington, Indiana. What I know is Patrick WARD from Ireland worked for the Railroad and died (possibily) between 1891-1900, he married Margaret HURLEY (from Ireland) in 1861 in Huntington. The following children were born there: John, Arthur, Emma, Jane, Annie, Patrick, Mary. A nephew, William, born in New York was living with them in 1880. William was 4 years old at that time and later became their adopted son. In 1870 a teenage Mary DESMOND (born in New York) was living with them. I do not know the relationship, if any, to Patrick or Margaret. I am only 'assuming' a connection because William who moved in with them during the next decade was born in New York.
It wouldn't be the first time I was wrong...
