Stacy, thanks for your reply. I appreciate getting the picture of Wm's. headstone. He married 3-4 times with each wife dying before him. Cassandra had twins or triplets by him. He married my great-great-grandmother in Delaware Co. and they moved to Mena, AR. She died in Oct. 1921 and her remains were sent to Kokomo but I have not found her burial site. It may also be in a nearby county but I have been searching in Howard Co. Her name was Mary Milliken/Mulliken. Wm. moved back to IN after she died.I wonder if a funeral home there received her body for burial but I've had no luck finding records. I suspect you may have spoken with a new or unmotivated person at the courthouse if they didn't even know where burial records would be. Maybe the Health Dept. would know or local funeral homes should know that. Wm. was born in MD or DE and moved to Richland Co. OH. then to IN. He had children so I think some of their descendants may still be in the area. I think one of his sons was named Emmett and he had a grocery store in Kokomo. I have seen several other Millikens in that area. Not sure if its the same family. Yes, there are several spellings of the name, I have noticed. Was your gr-grandmother's maiden name Millikan or her married name?
