My family line is from William E. Johnson and Sarah E. Lindley, my ggggrandfather, son of Wm. R. Johnson. No I have not been able to confirm Mary Polly Hardin as wife of Wm. R. but found two census records of Orange Co. showing Wm. R. and Mary and family and found where they were buried in Stampers Creek Baptist Cemetery, Paoli, Orange Co. All info I've found would also fit a Mary Cornwell also. Mary Polly Hardin was born 1807 in Oldham, Ky. and died 1871 in Paoli. Wm. R. and Mary Polly Oct. 25, 1828, daughter of Henry Hardin and Mary Smith. I have been trying to find the parents of Wm. R. Johnson with not much luck. Zephaniah Johnson, first born of Wm. R. also had a son, Wm. R. Johnson b. 1865. Zephaniah died in Howard Co. so the death records on him might show who the parents are. I am still researching. How are you related?
