A Samuel McCracken of about the same age married a gggggaunt Elizabeth Woodward in Hendricks County - most of the clan moved to Iowa.

One possible parent is an inquiry dated Aug 12 1999 from Alice Maurer
e-mail address:
researching: McCracken, Lawrence, Frazier, Coulson, Thorn

Am looking for information about birth date and ancestors of ALEXANDER MCCRACKEN, who was born in on Atlantic ocean voyage from Ireland to the American Colonies. He married ABIGAIL FAYLE January 23, 1749 or 50 in Wilmington, Delaware. Land grant records of NC reveal he was granted 318 acres at the Oak & Pollocks line in Orange County on Aug 04, 1760. In 1818 he moved west with sons Samuel & William and families and settled near Mooresville, Indiana. He is believed to be buried at the White Lick
Meeting Cemetery in Morgan County, IN
