This family, although not found in the 1850 index, is listed on the 1850 Marion Twp., Hendricks Co, IN census, on page 74, house 1030-1030 as follows: Jonathan Gordon 28 farmer b. MD; Nancy 38 KY; Polly A. 16 b. IN (too old to be Jonathan's child); Elizabeth 12 IN; Benjamin 3 IN. Neighbors on each side: Peter FRY 51 KY and family house 1032-1032 and Mahlen STINSON 22 KY and family.

I have not yet found them on the 1860 census, but I believe Jonathan GORDON died in the Civil War (waiting on pension papers from the National Archives).
