Ferol Johnson and Clarence Jones Obituaries

These persons are no relation to me. The clipping comes from the Hendricks County Guide and Gazette, 1989.

Ferol Johnson, 86, a lifelong resident of Plainfield, died Tuesday, Aug. 22 in St. Vincent Hospital Hospital, Indianapolis.

The daughter of William and Flora Whitt Harrison, she was born March 13, 1903 in Hendricks County. In 1923 she married Cecil Johnson, who survives.

Services were Friday, Aug. 25 in Plainfield Christian Church, with Rev. Warren Robbins officiating. Burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery,. Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, was in charge of arrangements and calling.

Surviving with her husband are daughter, Elouise Reeder, Plainfield; son, Richard E. Johnson, Indianapolis; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.


Clarence Jones, 76, a lifelong resident of Danville and retired farmer, died Thursday, Aug. 24 at Hendricks Community Hospital, Danville.

Born Oct. 20, 1912 in Hendricks County, he was the son of Anson and Laura Stiles Jones. May 17, 1947 he married Phyllis White, who survives.

Services were Saturday, Aug. 26 in David A. Hall Mortuary, Brownsburg. Rev. Steve Reeves officiated, with burial in Brownsburg Cemetery.

Surviving with his wife are brothers; Ralph and Harry Jones; sisters: Cordis Blanton, Freda Smith and Catherine Lehman; several nieces and nephews.
