Thompsons in Hendricks County

Trying to untangle ancestry of my great grandfather and great great grandfather in Hendricks County.

My g-grandfather was ELDRIDGE H. THOMPSON who was born in Hendricks County June 7, 1867. His parents were GEORGE W. THOMPSON AND ESTHER OSBORN THOMPSON married 25 July 1866 in Hendricks County. According to the death certificate of George W. he was born November 12, 1847 and his parents are listed as JAMES THOMPSON and MARY MOORE. Death certificate states both were born in Indiana. I have located their marriage in Hendricks County in 1844. Entries on census records in 1880 for George indicate James was born in Ohio. I have found a James Thompson in Hendricks COunty in 1860 with his wife Mary and son George and four other siblings. They were listed on the same page as Isham Thompson. Earlier census shows a son the right age living with Isham. James and Mary and George do not appear on 1850 census after they were married and George was born. The next sighting of George is on the 1870 census with his wife and son and daughter.

Does any one recognize this lineage and can tell me the identity of JAMES THOMPSON's PARENTS/GEORGE W. THOMPSON'S grandparents? Thanks for any clues
