Andrew Kelly was listed in the 1820 Harrison County, Indiana census and presumed to have died there before the 1830 census. Does anyone have any information from county records in the mid-1820's. The census indicated that he had several children when he was listed. There were several Kelly marriages listed in the county after his arrival and I believe that at least some were his children.
We know that Andrew Kelly was listed in the 1810 Allegheny County, Indiana census near Zadock Wright, his father-in-law. From a 1815 deed involving the estate of Zadock we know that his daughter Christine was still in Allegheny County and married to a Kelly and because of the census he was probably Andrew Kelly as another son-in-law Abel Bentley was also adjacent.
Zadock Wrights son Jeremiah Wright and two son-in-laws left Allegheny County, Pennsylvania and moved to Harrison County, Indiana where they appeared in the 1820 census. (Jeremiah Wright arrived ca 1824 according to pension file) One son-in-law Abel Bentley was on the same census page as Andrew Kelly so presume that he was also the son-in-law of Zadock Wright, Zadock Wright is quite well known in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania and had land on Peters Creek.
I am trying to collect more information on Andrew Kelly because of his Zadock Wright family connection. We have visited Harrison County on other lines but failed to look into the Andrew Kelly line.
Any help would be appreciated.
