H. J. Friedley, Corydon, Indiana Photographer
Posted by: Angela Beaver (ID *****1450) Date: May 27, 2008 at 12:55:55

I have an old photo and am trying to identify the subject. It is of a seated woman, wearing a high-necked long sleeved white blouse and a long dark skirt. She's wearing what looks to be a locket around her neck on a longish chain and her dark hair is pinned up. The name on the mat surrounding the photo bears the following mark "Friedley Corydon Indiana". I've found some other photos online that say "H. J. Friedley Corydon Indiana". One had a date of 1902 and the other was 1920. I'm trying to find out what time period Mr. Friedley was working in Corydon and perhaps where his studio was located. If I know the time frame during which he was working, I may be able to identify the woman in the photo.
