2nd info from same friend -
"In addition to the above, I had read that Katherine Bushman a well known research of Augusta Co., died and her papers were placed in the State Archives in Richmond. I was told that her documentation was about zero. I hired a woman to go to the archives and get a copy of a sheet of information about Samuel Curry (yours) She was confused about the two Samuels and thought yours lived on Long Glade but that was my Samuel Curry and I have the deeds but she said he married about 1770 to Margaret Irwin daughter of John and Jane William Irwin, she was born about 1745. A paragraph at the bottom of the page shows clearly that she didn't even know that my Samuel Curry ever existed, but land deeds prove he did."

"In addition to the above I set out to investigate the Erwins. They came to Augusta County, VA early on Edward Erwin was the first Erwin county and he was married to Frances Francis. his oldest son John Erwin, born 1715 in Ireland and died Feb. 15, 1761 in Long Glade. John Erwin married Jean Williams in Ireland. She was born 1706 in Ireland and died after 1761 in Long Glad, Augusta County, VA. Their sixth child was Margaret Erwin. Margaret Erwin, baptized 1746 m. Samuel Curry in 1762. There was a lot of intermarrying between Currys and Erwins. There is a lot of information on the Erwins - like way way back."

I have one more thing to send you.
