Looking for information about Sarah Marshall Meeker Chappell and her children who lived in the Fortville area for many years. Sarah married Shadrick A.J. Chappell after her first husband, Robert Meeker, died in 1856. She brought some of her youngest children to live in Fortville. Carrie (Carradinah) and Lester and probably Rusley Romain Meeker. Rusley was my husband's grandfather. He moved to Florida about 1885 and raised a large family there, but the rest of the children stayed in Indiana.
Lester married Mary Elizabeth Elder and stayed in Fortville and raised his two sons: William and Frank. Other sons of Sarah and Robert Meeker were Marshall, Oscar, Irvin and Frank.
