Thanks for the info. I'll check on the Madison Co. source and see what turns up. Tracking the isolates is truly a challenge. One part of my mother's family seems to have been of that breed as well. What's more, the people in that line don't seem to be much interested in family history. I once asked my two great-uncles if they knew the name of their grandfather. Neither one did. Eventually I was able to tell them that he was Green Wray, not exactly a forgetable name in my book. I thought surely that once I jogged their memories with the name, they'd be able to recall some tidbits about him and his wife Charlotte Day. They both said, "Hum, never heard of them." Sigh...
If I can help with anything on the Walkers in the Hancock Co. vicinity, I'll give it a whirl. Meanwhile, happy hunting.
