Hi Win
Do some of your lines intersect with the Greene Co. Linthicums?
Thomas and Jane had another son Hezekiah who married Milcah Francis.Their son Thomas Francis married Elizabeth Williams. There is a lot of confusion from this point but it seems to me and others that Thomas Francis and Elizabeth Williams had a son Richard Linthicum who married a Mary Sherwood. In the late 1780's Richard and six children (and perhaps some had spouses) went to Guilford Co., NC. with Mary's parents. There are all sorts of stories but I just think Mary Sherwood died.Any other version would just about have to have the Sherwoods dis-owning Mary as Richard was still very thick with them in NC.I had never thought of this possibility until I started writing this and "scandal" often gives rise to other outrageous stories to cover it up and might explain the lack of records for Mary's death and the marriage.
These six kids (notably Thomas S) are the ancestors of most of the early southern IN Linthicums. My line comes a bit later from another son of Richard and Mary, Daniel Linthicum
None of this would hold up in court and I'm still working on it but its got to be closer to fact than most of what you read.
Terry L.
