Hi,
I am looking for information on my great great grandmother, America Francis Thompson. She married Thomas B. Thompson in Tippecanoe Co, IN on 15 Dec 1913. She was 66. They moved to Grant Co. that same year, I believe. Thomas lived in the National Military Home in Marion, and apparently, America lived near by.
America wanted a divorce from Thomas, and was apparently willing to go to the poor house if she did. I would like to know what happened to America. When did she die, where is she buried? Did she marry again after Thomas.
Is there anyway to get records from the Nat'l Military Home? Is there a poor house in Grant County and are records available? I would surely appreciate any help. At this point, I don't know where to look. Is there anyone who does look ups in Grant Co.?
