Dear Dennis, Have been aware of several of his restorations and wished I lived closer to attend one of his workshops. Yes I was born and raised in Grant Co., but moved away in 1961. Then my husband and I retired to Park Rapids,Minnesota,to a small lake home, so at best I get a quick trip to Indiana once a year. Am on the internet still plugging away on a 50+ year genealogy. It went far further than I intended, but have found so many different relatives and the history is fascinating! As far as I know Mark is one of few restorers, but cemeteries and their preservation are so important. Every so often I read about vandalism and thefts of stones, I wish more were reverent of the importance of cemeteries. They are such moving ties to our past families. My Mom has been gone 10 years now, but she and I would go to every cemetery and put out flowers, try to clean out weeds and etc., we worked pretty hard because both Mom and Dad's families were big, most of Grant and Blackford Co. are interrelated.
Nice to meet you and lots of success in your search, Barb Balas
