Edgar "Ed" White
1895-1964

Touchy subject, but I want answers. We've been searching for too long.

Ed White was known in the Decker, Princeton, and Mt Carmel areas. He was married to Anna Marie (Smith) White and had several children with her. He also had two children with my grandmother and, yes, his wife knew about it. He apparently also had another women around Vincennes that he, at the least, had another daughter with.

His children were named Sharon, Monzell, Doris, Larry, & Thelma--but don't quote me on the names because this is just what I've heard. All of them have passed but one or two.

His parents were from the Decker area. They were Simon & Carrie Bell White. I know nothing of them or their families either.

Ed wasn't the nicest guy in the world, from the stories people have told us. Still, he was my biological grandfather and he died when my mother was only a year old. No one wants to talk about him or his family and all I want to know is more about them.

Photos? Stories? Thoughts? Anything would be helpful at this point. We are all at a dead end. Most of his family has passed on or unwilling to speak with us. If you know anything, please let me know.

Thank you.
