To Shane & Don -- I too am looking for this orphanage & was excited when I came across this. My great great grandfather was placed in an orphanage at Patoka in the 1800's -- probably 1880's. He & other siblings & the story has it he ran away from it in the middle of the night. I am also trying to locate the name because we are trying to find out more about his family as well as his siblings. I will keep in touch with you guys -- if I find anything I'll let you know. If you have since found out the name of the place, please send me an e-mail. fbarb@interaccess.com. I'd really appreciate it. We are so stuck on this family (I'm researching now with another family member I met on ancestry.com) that it's driving us crazy! Thanks so much! Rebecca
