Funeral services were held at the Foster funeral home today for Mrs. Glendolen LONG
OVERMYER, 64, 1111 Monroe street, who died Saturday afternoon at Woodlawn hospital after a
ten-day’s illness.
The Rev. Mrs. Edith BRUNER officiated and burial was made in the Richland Center
cemetery.
Born in Richland township, July 26, 1886, she was the daughter of Alonzo and Mary Eva
LONG. A lifetime resident of Fulton county, she had lived in Rochester the past two years. She
was a member of the Richland Center Methodist church and the Rebekah lodge.
Her marriage Sept. 1, 1906 was to Walter L. OVERMYER, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Nelson [OVERMYER], Talma; a grandson, Gene [OVERMYER]
and a granddaughter, Shirley Ann [OVERMYER]; the mother, Mrs. Mary Eva LONG, Rochester; a
sister, Mrs. George RIDDLE, Rochester; three brothers, O. J. LONG, Rochester, Orton LONG,
Bourbon, and Robert LONG, Niles, Mich.
