Deborah
I really appreciate your help! I really do not know when the slaughterhouse was built; it might be owned by an individual since it is a small one. My ancestor Matthias Wolfe lived on Union street which was not too far from that place. Matthias was a butcher back around 1850ish. On that property where the slaughterhouse was; I had talked to the owner of that property and he was not sure about the slaughterhouse. However, He did say that the old house he lived in on the same property where the slaughterhouse is had Margaret Wolfe's name on the wall inside the house So I feel that there might be a connection somewhere. I just wondered if Matthias had worked there. However Thank you again for your help and I will keep your info for future research. Thanks again!
Dan
