Dan

What year was the slaughterhouse located at that location? I could not find any slaughterhouses there up through 1908. There was a slaughterhouse/glue factory located on Green Street between State Street and Vine St. It was there in April 1886 (Sanborn map) and at least through 1908 (city directory). It was Conrad and Kammerer.

I also found in 1907-1908 a Rileys stockyard at 122 Clay St., Benjamin D. Clayton, Prop. But that is not as close to Bono and Graybrook as the above business on Green St. It was listed in the city directory as boarding stock. No listing in its advertising as slaughterhouse.
