Samuel Stanley was the one of my great-grandfathers brothers who was born to George and Elizabeth Smith Stanley on December 6, 1815 according to the info I have. These Stanley's were from the old 96 district in South Carolina and moved to Indiana in October of 1813. The rest of the Stanley kinfolk of the southern states either went to Georgia, Alabama, or Florida during the 18th century from SC. Do you have any photos of Samuel Stanley? I would be interested in knowing what he looks like. I have more info on the family if you are interested.
