Looking for any information on James Shepler b. Westmoreland Co. PA son of Philip Shepler 1741-1829. James was listed on the tax lists of Warren Co. OH in 1809-10 and then served in the War of 1812 from Ohio. He is listed on the 1820 Census for Fayette Co. IN with his son, Philip. He is listed in the 1830 Census Fayette Co. IN with unknown persons, his sons are listed separately. In 1840 James is listed in Rush Co. IN and he again has members unknown listed with him. He disappears in the 1850 Census and his Probate is unavailable to give a listing of his children. His first wife, Mary died between 1820 and 1830. Looking to see if she is a listed burial at Springersville. Thank you for any help on James Shepler and his family.
