Dooleys in Fayette, Indiana

I'm looking for any info on Newton Dooley, m. Sarah ?. We have located Sarah's grave in Connorsville,(died 1869) and also a
record of a land sale by Newton shortly thereafter.
Neither Newton nor Sarah appear in either the Indiana 1860 or 1870 census. They had a child, Helen Gertrude, (born 1869)
who was adopted by the Stiffler family of Rush county. The Stifflers went west to San Jose, CA with the Stevens party.
