Hi K.
My Murphy's were descended from David
Murphey (ca1775 - 1842) and his wife, Mary
"Polly" Vaughn (ca1780 - aft.1850. They arrived in Jennings Twp. during the mid 1830's from Stokes County, NC. Their known
children were:
1.)Elizabeth "Betsey" Murphy...she married
Isaac Glenn.
2.)Joseph Murphy...he married a woman with
the first name of Sophia.
3.)Samuel Murphy...he was married twice. I
don't have the name of his first wife.
His second wife was Sarah June Corbin.
4.)James D. Murphy...he married Sarah Evans.
5.)Susan Murphy
6.)Nancy Murphy...she married Christian
Clifford Love.
7.)William Murphy.

Think you have any connections? Some the
family is buried in Mt. Garrison Cemetery,
and others in the Everton Cemetery. Thanks
for the response. Patrick Murphy
