Trying to find out more about this early pioneer of Elkhart Co, IN. Believe he had at least 4 sons. He moved to Indiana from Pennsylvania. He purchased land in Elkhart on 6/8/1833.
He was a presbyterian and a farmer. His son's names were:
John W. Irwin, Robert D. Irwin, Elisha D. Irwin and Alexander Irwin, Jr.. Alexander Irwin, Jr. bought land in
LaGrange Co, IN on 2/10/1835. This is the same year his father Alexander Irwin, Sr. died. The land purchase indicates that Alexander Irwin, Jr. was from Elkhart Co, IN.
I'm not sure, but I beleive John was born in 1805 in PA and
Alexander Irwin Jr. was born 1810 in PA. Would appreciate any info on this family. Thanks, Mike
