Have 2 newspaper articled: 1) John BICKEL killed 14 Jan 1886, in Elkhart, when he crossed in front of a train in Lake Shore Yards in Elkhart. 2) Two months later, his son William H. BICKEL, was killed 27 Feb 1886, when a Lake Shore train was coming to a stop in Waterloo, IN. William was a brakeman, and jumped from the train before it stoped to open a switch, but fell in front of the engine and was run over severing his legs. His remains were taken to Elkhart for burial. William was about 28 years old, single, and had been livining with his brother in Elkhart. Will appreciate any info on John BICKEL's family, and place of burial of John & William H.
