I have a Morgan Burns, married to Jane Jacobus. My notes on him indicate: Brother of Mary Burns and probably Isabelle Burns (Harris). He was born ca. 1821 in IN. He and Jane migrated to St. Anne's Twp., Kankakee, IL where he expired between 1864-1870. Jane survived to Sept. 1901.

My notes indicate they may have moved with Henry Jacobus (her brother) and family to St. Anne Twp, Iroquois Co., IL, which became Kankakee Co., IL. Her brother, John, moved from Iroquois Co., IL in 1844 and moved to Tazewell Co., IL. (Harris)

Jane and Morgan's children were:

George (Lorenzo), b. 15 Jan. 1845, IN
Ellen, (b. ca. 1846, IN; d. between 1850-60
Clarissa (Clara), b. Nov. 1847, IL
Jefferson, b. 13 April 1849
James, b. 17 Oct. 1850
William, b. ca. 1855, St. Anne, IL
Caroline, b. ca. 1856
Martha, b. ca. 1857, St. Anne, IL; d. between 1860-70
Marietta, b. ca. 1858, St. Anne, IL; d. between 1860-70
John, b. ca. 1862
Samantha, b. 5 Jan. 1864
