I came across your post as I was also looking for more family history than I already have. Matthew Kelly's father was named James Kelly and Matthew's mother was Jane Dale. Matthew Kelly's oldest son, James, was my great great great grandfather on my mother's side. I was searching to see if I could get a better idea of where Matthew's father James Kelly's plantation would have been. The only area I have record of is "near Morgantown" in what was then Virginia and now is West Virginia.
So, Matthew Kelly and his wife, Charity Howard, were my great great great great grandparents.

Anything more you can tell me?...or of the research you are doing?
