Need Young Help For Old
Posted by: Richard Russell (ID *****6774) Date: September 24, 2003 at 11:07:37

Hello: Please.
Need help in locating some early info/data on the Youngs, early into Decatur Co.
John Long Young is supposedly living with his "son in law", in 1840, in Decatur Co. John L. Young, supposedly, then died in Decatur Co in the 1840's.
John L. Young was the father of the Lewis Young (of Rush Co Ind born 1808 Ohio, in 1880 Rush Co History), and John L Youngs father was Reubin Young, both born VA.
This Young family was from Va, to Bracken Co Ky, to Pickway Co Ohio about 1806, then to Clermont Co Ohio about
1816, and were in Clermont Co untill about fall of 1826 when they moved into Indiana. A "Reubin Young" died, buried, in Clermont Co, early; plus there were some marriages, even some indicated as being intermarriages
between Young families ( related, or not?).
John Long Young settled first in Franklin Co, Fountain View?, Franklin, then Rush Co, Indiana, - - - - but in Decatur to live/die in household of son in law.
I would appreciate any help.
THANK YOU. Regards, Dick
