Thank you, Jourdan. The material I posted came from a 29 page unpublished manuscript in the Indiana State Library entitled "The Burk Family" given by D.A.R., Lone Tree Ch., Greensburg, in memory of James Wirt, and a book entitled "Irish Burks of Colonial Virginia and New River" by Patricia Givens Johnson, which is in the Allen County Public Library, Ft. Wayne. I cite these in case others have gone this way. I have never heard of or seen the book you mentioned, and I shall certainly look it up. Thanks.
