Ferdinand in Decatur Co IN

James Ferdinand, civil war veteran (Co E, 82nd Indiana Infantry (b.1836 IRE/d.1879 Jenn Co)and is believed to be buried in Decatur Co. had a son Michael who married Laura Stonecypher and I believe had sons David and Paul and possibly a daughter Ruth. I believe Michael is buried in Horseshoe Cem with his nephew Charles...but don't know what became of Laura and the children.

After 2 years of research, I visited Westport and North Vernon in Oct 2000 and fell in love with Westport - it felt like home. I found several family graves and met some relatives by accident...you have a wonderful state!
