The purpose of this document is to layout reasoning to claim all the
following people ARE related to each other by blood as well as marriage
in some cases. After reading this, you are welcome to comment either
side of my logic.
Accepted fact our family:John Henry Rigg died 1810 in Philadelphia.
Source is the History book below.
Accepted fact in our family: His wife - Sarah Howard Riggs brought the
family to Manchester Township, Dearborn co, IN sometime in 1814 ...
possibly as early as 1812.
Despite the statement in "History of Dearborn and Ohio Counties," 1885
that Sarah Rigg died in 1818. she is the Head of Household in 1820
census.1830 census has the eldest son Henry Rigg as head of household.
I believe that Caroline (RIGGS) Stevenson is sister to Henry RIGG and
George Augustus RIGGS.
I say their parents were John Henry RIGG and Sarah (HOWARD) RIGG.The
1880 census tells us both parents were born in England."History of
Dearborn and Ohio Counties," 1885 Tells us that his father was born in
Liverpool, England.
Why some family members came to add the letter S is unknown.History
says they did.Documents showing the RIGG and RIGGS are a matter of
record in the history book, census, Marriage Records and Headstones.
I'm still waiting to see some land records.
IF I am correct about that, then Andrew Stevenson is related as well by
being her son.

How long Andrew was at Ghent, Carroll co, KY is unclear.
IF our facts are correct, Andrew married Martha Jane Waters in March
1853 at the home of Martha's brother Landy Waters.Landy Waters own
marriage is on record in 1849 proving the existence of Landy Waters.
KNOWN and documented fact:George Augustus Riggs's Son married Julia
Ann Vawter in 1857.
KNOWN and documented fact:Julia Ann Vawter was Elizabeth Ann Waters
KNOWN and documented fact:Julia signed an affidavit that Martha Jane
Waters was her Aunt.
Therefore, Elizabeth Ann Waters was sister to Martha Jane Waters.
Question:How else could Julia Ann (Vawter) RIGGS be a niece to
Martha Jane Waters?
