Very interesting information, thanks! The Golliher, Bennington and Cincinnati Schools were all close to our family farm northwest of Plainville, which is still in our family and has been since 1837. The Golliher school was right across the road from our farm, and I can remember my grandfather, Leonard Dougherty, showing it to me years ago prior to it being torn down.

By the way, Jill and Jane are cousins of mine, through the Dougherty's, which I am researching now. Jane's grandmother (Mary Luella Dougherty Passwater) was a Dougherty,a sister to my ggrandfather Clay Dougherty, and I think I came across a photograph of her in her casket from 1907, the year she passed away at 28 yrs of age.

I would like to get in touch with Jane sometime to discuss the Dougherty family history if possible.
