Betty, I did some checking and found this same family listed in the 1870 census as follows:

Muskingum Co., OH
Thomas Simpson 41 farm labor b. OH
Phoeba A. 30 b. OH
George D. 9 b. OH
Florence 8 b. OH
William E. 6 b. OH
Edward 4 b. OH
Arthur 1 b. OH

(The other William and Pheobe Williams Simpson are in Hardin Co., OH 1870 census - which is fairly close to Shelby Co where they were married on 7/25/1863).

Did some further checking and found a marriage record for them in Muskingum Co:

Phebe Ann Kindred married to Thomas Simpson on 12/3/1858

Didn't find them in 1860 census???

Pheobe is listed with her parents in the 1850 census as follows:

1850 Muskingum Co., OH
George Kindred 35 b. NJ
Jane 27 b. OH
Phebe A. 10 b. OH
Isabel 9 b. OH
Mark 4 b. OH
George D. 4/12 b. OH

Thomas is listed in the household of Sarah Fry listed as 20 b. OH laborer.

I hope this information will be of help to you.
