I can't help with the integrity of the Brown or Williams data (not my field of interest) but I can give you further on Sophia:

- 1890 Witnesses of Cumberland Co., IL: Georgett Kensell, Mary Jane Kensell, Abraham Kensell. (Note= Georgett must be an error for George H. who was husband of Mary Jane, their son was Abraham)
- 1890 Oct 24 Coles Co., IL, Circuit Court Clerk affidavit Decree of Divorce between John K. Donnell vs. Sophia Donnell, granted Nov term 1879, Chancery Court Vol. 21 p:467
- 1891 various affidavits re. knowledge of Levi P. Bivens
- 1893 Apr 24 Sophia Bivens, aged 75y, of Trilla, Coles, IL, suffering with rheumatism, unable to walk w/o crutches, requires continuous help but income is inadequate to hire an attendant; wit. C.W. Childers, John W. Brown
- No date - James J. Ferguson and Michael Alexander of Trilla, Coles, IL, have known Sophia Bivens for 10-20 yrs, she has 2 houses and lots: one house in village of Trilla, Coles, IL, and it and ground worth about $300 and rents for $3.50/mo; and other house in Boozes Add'n to Trilla in Cumberland Co., IL, was bought by Sophia in Nov or Dec 1890 for $125 and is now worth about $200; affiants declare income from real estate less taxes and repairs would be about $5/mo or $60/yr. Wit: Noah Thomas, John W. Brown.
5. Research into Sophia turned up her maiden name and other info about her from various sources including IGI, WorldConnect, Coles Co., IL, Cem Records, Sullivan Co., IN, printed records, etc. About all of the witnesses in her pension file have been identified and were, for the most part, relatives of some sort.
