obit for Dora Turner Smith - Crawford Co- mid 1940's

Trying to find record of my aunt Dora Turner. Know she lived on farm in Crawford Co. around Alton. She was killed by her husband. Her married name was Dora Smith. She married John Smith. I know they had 2 kids. Flossie and Leroy. Had to be in mid to late 40's as my family was living outside Alton at the time and I started school there. That would have been 45 or 46. I have her on 1920 census in LaGrange but can find nothing after that. Also if anyone has any history of Alton and it's one room school I would love to have it. Went to Crawford co website but could find nothing on Alton. Any help and info appreciated.
Thanks, Rhoda
