Samuel Scott 1850 Census
Posted by: Sandra Scott (ID *****4197) Date: February 08, 2003 at 11:58:20

Does anyone know anything about the Samuel Scott family who appears in the 1850 Crawford County Census, Jennings Township? Samuel was 48; his wife Lavina was 49. They had 6 children: James (21), Samuel (17), Sophia (12), Henry (12), Calvin (9), and Isaac M (3). They live next door to William Scott (46). William, Samuel & Lavina were all born in Kentucky.

In the 1860 Census, Lavina is married to William and there is one child living with them, Morrison (12) who I'm assuming is Isaac using his middle name. There is also Elizabeth Scott (79) and Margaret Cole (26) and Samuel Williams (28). I'm trying to determine if the younger Samuel is my great great grandfather.
