Vital Statistics

Dr. HARDY, secretary of the county board of health, has completed his statistical report for the quarter ending 30 September. It shows the number of marriages during the quarter to have been 33, nine in July, eight in August and sixteen in September.

The number of births for the quarter was 143, 71 males and 72 females. There were sixteen stillbirths.

The report of contagious and infectious diseases for the quarter shows that there were three cases of diphtheria, 43 of scarlet fever and 14 of typhoid fever. Of the scarlet fever cases nineteen were reported for July, fourteen for August and ten for September.
