Wolf's and Maxson's
John and Mary Katherine (Shidler) Wolf were my great grandparents. They were born in Tippecanoe County, Indiana and had several children: Bessie (my grandmother), Naomi (who died as a child), Edna (Effie), Pearl, Peter Christian (Chris), John Benjamin (Ben), Susan Jane (Jane), Joseph William (Bill). I know Bessie was born in Lafayette. Most all of them moved to Oxford, Pine Village, Fowler, Boswell, Otterbein, and a few other cities in this general area.
Bessie had 3 kids before she married my grandfather, Joseph Orval Maxson. He had 2, Wilbur & LaVeen, before he married Bessie. Bessie's kids' names are Elmer Curtis, Betty Marie, and Raymond. Orval and Bessie had 4 kids: Alvin Arthur (Jack), Oliver J (J), Joseph Stanley (Fat/he died in the Korean War), and my mother, Elsene Rose.
Effie married William (Bill) Dunford, they had no kids.
Pearl married Chris Christopher, they had 2 kids: Lucille (who died young) and Katherine, who married a man with the last name of Mann & they had a son named Michael (Mike).
Chris and Ben never married, were in WW1 & stayed home to take care of Bessie.
Jane married a man with the last name of Russell.
Bill married Grace Shoults and had 8 kids: Larry, John (who used to live in Shadeland, Ind), Clifford Eugene (he was a chef at Morris Bryant until it burned down), Bonnie Dell (married a man named Gary), Frankie Joe, a set of twins that died as babies, and a girl that died as a baby.
Joseph Arthur b.May 1864 & Clara Bell(e) (Liby)b. Dec 1865 Maxson were my great grandparents. They lived in Benton County/Wayne Township (according to the 1900 census). His parents were born in CT, hers were born in IL. They had 3 kids: Joseph Orval (born in IL), Lillian Leona, and Claude Raymond.
Orval married a woman and had 2 kids: Wilbur (who was married 2x and had 5 kids per wife), LaVeen (last last name I have for her is Brown and she may have lived in Kansas at some point). Then he married Bessie and they had 4 kids (listed above).
