Clarence Woodlock Dead at 101
FOWLER -- Clarence Woodlock, 101, of Fowler, died at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, June 13, 2010, at Green Hill Manor, Fowler.
Born Sept. 9, 1908, in Benton County, he was the son of William and Margaret Adams Woodlock.
He graduated from Hyde Park High School in Chicago, then graduated from the University of Chicago with a master's degree in business. He served in the Air Force in the Pacific during World War II as a weather observer.
Mr. Woodlock had been a salesman for various companies, and recently returned to the Fowler area. He was a member of the Benton County Historical Society.
Surviving are a nephew, Richard Woodlock of Fowler; and a niece, Betty Sparenberg (husband: John) of West Lafayette. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers.
Services 10 a.m. Thursday, June 17, 2010, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Dunnington, Fr. Donald Gross officiating. Interment at Danville National Cemetery, Danville, Ill.
