I have completed more research and have found the reason why Joseph and family moved to Bartholomew County - his family moved there too! David Craig and family (wife: Rosanna Johnson Craig, children: James, Robert, David, Enoch, Pollard, and Daniel) are all listed on the 1860 census living in Columbus. By the 1870 census, David and his wife, along with son Daniel have moved to Washington, Nodaway County, Missouri. I have been working on the other children and think that most of them also moved to Missouri. I guess they must have had the pioneer spirit. I do know that son James went back to Preble County, Ohio and married Lucy Newton (a sister to Joseph's wife). Joseph's children were Charles (born Ohio), Sarah (born Ohio), and Lydia Miranda (born Indiana). The children moved back to Ohio with their mother; she married Samuel Morrow in Preble County, Ohio on 25 Mar 1863. Therefore, Joseph must have died either in late 1862 or early 1863. It has taken me many years to find Joseph's parents and siblings. Now, I would really like to know what happened to him. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
